Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus nix divorce plans with the aid of marriage counseling

Rather than filing for divorce, Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife, Tish Cyrus, have decided to remain married, largely due to the help of marriage counseling, according to the Huffington Post.

To deal with deep-seated issues and complications in their relationship, the couple sought the help of a marriage counselor, according to Ken Baker, a long-time family friend, who recently spoke to Tish about the couple’s coping mechanisms on how to strengthen their marriage. Baker also said the couple decided to seek marriage counseling after 22 years of marriage as “they both woke up and decided they want to stay together.”

Billy Ray and Tish have become closer and their communication is even stronger now than before, Baker added.
