More sex leads to higher marital satisfaction among older couples, according to study

Researchers from the University of Chicago recently found that the frequency of sexual activities among couples affects marital satisfaction, the Huffington Post reported on Thursday, February 27.

The study, which involved 732 couples aged 57 to 85, has revealed pairs with frequent sexual encounters have a happier, more positive marriage as compared to those who rarely engage in such activities. To maintain the quality of marriage, researchers suggest older couples should ensure that they are still engaged in sexual activity despite health challenges that can make certain sexual activities difficult.
