A group in Colorado is pushing to make marriage counseling mandatory for couples wanting to get married. According to the group’s proposal, individuals anywhere in the state would have to attend counseling before tying the knot. The requirement would be set at 10 hours of counseling for a first marriage, 20 hours for a second marriage, and 30 hours for a third marriage.

Whether you are planning on getting married or you are already married, marriage therapy can provide an incredible number of benefits for couples. Additionally, counseling can have innumerable benefits whether there is already strife in a relationship, or if it is utilized as a precautionary measure.
